generally those who blame war on religion don't believe in a god... and as such if they are correct...religion is just an idea of man...as such war is the fault of man and the religion he made up...
just something to think about

Right... because humans are the only ones that wage war. Brilliant anecdotal evidence,64073. Stick to something you know.

Men are responsible for 100% of all the wars in the world today. It's too bad that most people confuse God with religion.

Don't give me that bullshit 45068. Religion is the cause of 90% of the wars in this world today. I don't believe in a God, but even if god really exists, he is still the cause of all suffering in this world. If people were like-minded and enlightened and their vision would not be blinded by relgion, this would be a much better world.

Free will? Sure... but in reality, everything sucks because some bitch ate an apple instead of making Adam a goddamn sammich.

Everyone who comments on these things always asks why God would do such terrible things. In truth, He simply created us with something called free will. The free will to choose what words to say, which religion to believe, or not believe in, the power to create and the power to destroy. Humans choose both good and evil, but that doesn't mean God has chosen it for them, simply that He has given us the freedom to be whatever we choose to be. If He had created us and then forced us to be good instead of allowing us to choose, none of us would be real, just paintings on the wall of life with no meaning whatsoever. It is the fact that we can choose and that some of us choose to do good, to be kind, that gives life meaning here and now. I'm not asking anyone to believe in the God that I believe in or to always make the right choice even. I'm simply pointing out that blaming a God you don't know for an evil committed by man, not by God is far from a strong point. You and I have control over how we behave, let's make our choice something that makes this world better regardless of faith and regardless of what choices others make. Maybe if we can come together in this way, we can turn our world into a beautiful thing, even if it seems sometimes as though we are missing a screw or two.

There is (all loving, all powerful) god that would do these things. There is no god.
